The Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors. The Board meets monthly and sets policy and budget for the Agency. The area served by the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency is divided into nine equally populated director districts.

Board members are selected by the local school boards and must reside in the director district they represent. Each director is elected for a four-year term. The Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency Board of Directors meets at 4:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. Board meetings are held at the Agency’s central office: 729 – 21st Street, Bettendorf, Iowa.
